Show-N-Shine at Jake's Performance Hobbies was the first ever Drift Event of it's kind in Nor-Cal (well, in Sonoma County at least!).  This event pulled Drift enthusiasts from all over Sonoma County and as far away as the Bay Area and Mendocino County. 

 

Drift Cars were lined up on the counter of the Hobby Shop and the hard work of their buiilders was displayed for all to see.  There were stock out of the box Vaterra's, all the was to fully custom machines with many hand made parts, great paint jobs and custom carbon fiber chassis.

 

This was also a great chance for the builders to just hang out and talk about Drifting, both RC and full size.  It was great to see so many people hanging out and enjoying the afternoon.  We ended up with 23 cars on display, but way more builders (and family) at the shop.

 

There was a vote for overall winner of the Show-N-Shine, and Chase Johnson took the People's Choice Award.  he brought an awesome drift tow rig, trailer, and drifter set-up.  There was also a nice raffle, with prizes donated by JPH. 

 

Drift Session #5 has again held at the Target parking lot in Rohnert Park.  This was, without a doubt, that largest gathering of RC Drift Cars ever in Sonoma County!  Just about everyone from the Show-N-Shine was there, plus many more who just got off work ...  I'd guess 30+ cars!

 

Mostly it was just free drifting around 4 loose courses.  As most of us are new to rc drifting and still working on our basic skills.  IT was a little chaotic at times, but judging from all the smiles everyone had a great time.

 

We will be working on improving the courses and adding a board course for the next Session.  Expect improvements each time, and as always feedback is appreciated.  A big THANK YOU goes out to those who took the time to attend one, or both, of these events.  JPH hosts them for the enjoyment of all, and I'd say it was mission accomplished this time around!
