The first Indoor Fly of 2012 was awesome, absolutely awesome! The turnout was the best yet and the Helicopter turnout was by far the best we've ever seen. A rough guess was 30+ airplane pilots and 20+ heli pilots throughout the evening. University of Sports has a great place to fly!
Everyone seemed to be smiling and really enjoying themselves. Airplane mid-air's seemed at an all time low this event, and crashes were down as well. And the spectators? Yes, there were more of them as well. I haven't seen so many kids sitting and laughing while watching the flying.
We had a little bit of everything show up on the heli field. Cheapy 3 channel jobs, MCX2's, CX's, MQX Quads, MCPX's of all flavors ... There were pilots who could barely fly, on up to guys who flew the whole pack inverted while doing awesome aerobatics.
Overall it was such a great night we've scheduled the next event for March 31st. Please spread the word for us and get those Micro and Ultra Micro airplanes and helicopters ready!
